The polytunnel skin plays a part I think in the light, but when they were open they were much whiter @ublaszko

It looks kind of yellow. is it because of the light in the polytunnel? Mine were white last year. I'm waiting for them to come back but still no sign of flowerbuds.

Well, it was quite dull yesterday I give you that! So possibly 👍🏼 Although these have always had a creamy look on the outside of the outer three tepals with a whiter edge, and the inner three are all white which become more prominent I think as it opens, if I look back at my previous photos of it. I’m sure it will be whiter when the sun opens them up ☀️ @ublaszko

I was just wondering because my crocuses are lighter and I wasn't sure if I identified them correctly. They were sold by Wilko as Miss Vain but they were definitely not it. 😅

😄 just been outside this morning as I was out all day at college yesterday and loads of buds have suddenly emerged! @cyndi

18/02/19 - Crocus Update - Crocus ‘Snow Bunting’, with its characteristic purple stripes on the outside of each tepal (or outer perianth segment) through a yellowish base, stripes continuing to run down the perianth tube (which is still part of the tepal/petal). The inner three petals are white with a purplish yellow blush at the base. Inside it has a yellow centre with yellow anthers and bright orange stigmas 😍 #crocus #crocuschrysanthussnowbunting #crocus-chrysanthus

I saved it to my wishlist so I can compare it with my crocuses that are just coming out.

Beauties they are Sarah - handy keeping them in the polytunnel too as the rain doesn’t ruin the flowers. Although I still get morning due on them @sieveheadsarah

That would be great! Just to see the comparison. 😊👍 I know my 'Miss Vain' bulbs are mislabelled though as they have purple stripes instead of subtle purple blush. I'm waiting for them to open so I can see the centre but so far they look like they will have a yellow centre. Definitely not Miss Vain. No bother 😁

Third time lucky - for three years I've tried to grow this one and each year it's turned out to be a mislabelled and was Ard Schenk 😕 - which as a purple blush. Snow Bunting has stripes on the outside rather than a blush and I think I've finally got the right bulb after hunting down a new supplier #crocus #winterwonders #crocus-chrysanthus #crocuschrysanthussnowbunting
