Morning ππΌβοΈ - off to London briefly to meet some ex-work friends for Lunch today, but had a quick 30 mins in polytunnel before leaving. These are seedlings of Cyclamen cilicium which I sowed in 2017. Just coming back into leaf after being dormant through the summer. Hoping the tubers swell up a bit this season as I want to get them out of these plugs soon. The only reason they are in here is because of the great growhouse disaster of 2018 (π) #thestormwithnoname
So this was temp measure otherwise I would have left them in their original pot #cyclamen #cyclamen-seedlings #cyclamen-cilicium #cyclamen-propagation #propagation-cyclamen
Oops - I better get that weed seedling of Hairy Bittercress out when I get home - itβs an ephemeral weed which can germinate and flower/set seed again within a very short period! (Like in about six weeks π€¨) #hairybittercress #cardaminehirsuta
Haha! I was going to say you missed a teensy weed there ππππ Well done on persevering with these seedlings and it's going to be such a treasure once they grow to a flowering size. ππ
Ooo excellent! π₯ judging by how much is also in the garden, looks like Iβve got plenty to last me a lifetime, I could bag it and sell it π @carolgs
Hehe, Iβm terrible at weeding @ublaszko - probably why I have so much of it π€¦πΌββοΈ. Certainly need patience with these too, why do I always pick the things that take forever to get to right size? π€π€£
I really don't like weeding our patio which has dandelions self-seeded from our neighbours. You are certainly a patient guy! π I can barely wait to see my camellias, only have one bud between two plants so it will be another year now. π°
Oh thatβs a shame. I think (although I donβt want to tempt fate) I might have some on one of mine. They other definitely no buds swelling. π I donβt think I have the patience for 10 years, Iβd buy a bigger one straight away I think @ublaszko
I think Iβve enough Cyclamen seedlings to supply the street π - different pots on the go, but this is Cilician Cyclamen - apparently one of the hardier species so I will be trying it out in the garden when these get bigger #cyclamen #seeds-cyclamen #seedling #ciliciancyclamen #cyclamen-cilicium #cyclamen-propagation #propagation-cyclamen
More seedlings - Cyclamen cilicium. Hoping to build up a nice little collection of these. They are apparently almost as hardy as those in the coum species group #cyclamen #seeds-cyclamen #seedling #ciliciancyclamen #cyclamen-cilicium #cyclamen-propagation #propagation-cyclamen
Using the same technique, I've been able to grow this other species cyclamen - Cyclamen cilicium. They are one of the hardier species and apparently can survive a winter in sheltered position #cyclamen #seeds-cyclamen #seedling #ciliciancyclamen #cyclamen-cilicium #cyclamen-propagation #propagation-cyclamen

Well done you what a busy bee you are ππ
I think you can put them in a salad!! (the hairy bitter cress)

Lol, thanks Pauline π - you know me, like to keep myself busy with long term projects π

And what about magnolia or wintersweet which can take up to 10 years before they flower π²π²πππ
