Yes, they do look lovely like this. I’m not sure why the flowers are so short this year, they were much taller but I’m going to put it down to the repotting. Maybe next year they will be back to normal @lesliecole49 @jeatacake

Morning all 👋🏼 lovely pot of Cyclamen foliage for Boxing Day. Potted these ones up in terracotta pots a couple of months ago, and plan to do my others early next year. Looks like I missed a bit of weed seedling 😆🤦🏼‍♂️🌱 - I’ve got three pots of the straight species Cyclamen coum, one with white, one with salmon pink and this one with magenta pink flowers.

They look stunning and deserve a special pot 😍😍😍 Could you take a photo of the salmon one when in flower? Your new woodland area will look gorgeous with these bright jewels! 😄

Of course 😄 I think I have a couple of pics from last year but looks like I’ve only ever posted the magenta pink and white ones. I was very careful when picking the pots at the garden centre to make sure I had one tuber of each colour @ublaszko

Oh, can you buy named colours then? I thought they're sold as mixed colours so have been reluctant to buy them. I watched old GW episode yesterday about cyclamen coum at Birmingham botanical gardens. Stunning! 😍

You can do both I think 😄 - mine were not labelled but I bought them when they were in flower so I knew what colours I got @ublaszko

Cyclamen coum putting on a show today 😊 - I’ll be collecting more seed from this soon. Can you see the spent flower stalk that that has gone curly in centre bottom? How long do you let the spent bloom sit on there. I was a dummy🤡 and pulled my spent blooms off not thinking about seeds. Grrrr! 😡

Hey Kyla 👋🏼 - I leave them to seed naturally, I never dead head these. I recall the seed pods tends to ripen by early summer. Often, I miss the pods opening and end up picking up all the seed around it with a pair of tweezers 😂 @PunkyKy

Cyclamen coum, full of flower buds and starting to look quite special. I haven't seen any buds on the other two (one white, and another a different shade of pink) but no doubt they are on there way. Hoping to collect the seed on these to sow in my woodland patch. I was hoping to get outside today but rain is coming. Hopefully the buds will follow shortly, or they're hiding under the leaves. Under deciduous trees is usually fine for these cyclamen but they also prefer shade during the summer when they are dormant. Does the soil get any sun during the summer months? @greenfingerkeri

After seeing this at The RHS London show, I bit the bullet this wkd and got me some hardy cyclamen from the garden centre for my woodland patch at the bottom of the garden.
