10/09/19 - and another welcome home surprise - I bought this cyclamen species last December, but had already missed it flowering as it’s autumn flowering. It starts to flower anytime from late August, before any foliage appears. The tubers have been dormant for the last four months, with no water, and have been resting on the floor in the warm polytunnel all summer. I’ve been trying to mimic its natural conditions in the wild where they originate from Greece 🇬🇷

Just cataloguing the last of my cyclamen additions that I picked up at Ashwood Nurseries before Christmas. It’s related to hederifolium but it has thicker and fleshier leaves. I think it has pink flowers in autumn, before the foliage arrives so I won’t see them now till later this year #cyclamen #cyclamen-hederifolium #cyclamenhederifoliumvarcrassifolium #foliagefriday
