Cyrtostachys renda

Back from hols and missing the tropical plant life already! It was great to see all sorts of plants growing well in their most favoured conditions. This caught my eye - I think it’s Crytostachys renda (Lipstick Palm) - with its distinguishable red crownshafts. It was only a small one, but still stood out from others. So unusual! Just been reading about the Temperate House at Kew...we will have to have a #gtmeet to see it when it re-opens in 2018! Xx
