#dahlia ‘Caribbean Fantasy’ - it’s taken ages to fully open but I’m glad it finally has 😀👌🏼 #dahliacaribbeanfantasy

It was never gonna look exactly as I had imagined, given the recent rubbish wet weather and low temperatures for the last two months, but it’s now fully opened and I’m pleased with the result. I say that as I was hoping for a sharper divide between the colours on this one but this blend is nice. Google images can occasionally mislead you! Hope to find some nicely formed tubers on this in a few weeks and maybe next year the colouring will improve as it matures.

This dahlia has promise for next year - don’t think it’s warm enough to have developed its true colouration but here’s hoping I can safely store the tuber over winter #dahlia #dahliacaribbeanfantasy
