Not sure why I’ve never added this one, as it was one of the first succulents I bought last year 🤔 but anyway it’s looking quite well a year later, and it’s got a flower on the way too 👍🏼 #echeveria #succulent #echeveriadionysos #echeveria-dionysos
It was labelled as Echeveria purpurosum when I bought it but actually I’ve just read the species is quite rare to find - given I bought it in a regular garden centre is this more likely to be Echeveria ‘Dionysos’? The pic on ICN of purpurosum has very pointy leaves, more so than mine I think. Appreciate any thoughts from those more experienced than me on this 😁
I really like these. The flowers will be beautiful! 😊 Similar situation here, mine was only labelled as succulent or something 😁 I consider it to be 'Dionysos', because I read the same you did. But I would like to know how to distinguish between them. Never really figured that out.
@richard.spicer.7906 This is a beautiful specimen Richard. I used to buy Echiveras from a stall in St Albans market. I think the family who ran it were called Cunningham. Many years ago .

Thanks Hayley! It’s doubled in size in a year 😄 @hayleyaj
http://www.crassulaceae.ch/de/artikel?akID=48&aaID=3&aiID=D&aID=492 looking at the leaf shape, I'd say it's a Dionysos.
