I've managed to save one Echinacea from the slugs, the rest got lost a while ago 😞. I've been keeping it growing on my garden bench in a pot to help it come back to life #echinacea #orange #coneflower

Glad you managed to save one! I know the feeling ...I lost all my lovely poppies grown from seed and the only ones that survived were in the pots up on the table!

You need either a pond or a hedgehog. We have lots of frogs, toads and a hedgehog and very few slugs considering all the rain we get.

@jan06 😂 I could use them to make an evening pathway in the garden!

Yes, your quite right @Elaine.colville - need some natural predators to keep the slugs at bay. I go find lots of empty snail shells but I think the slugs hide under the pots, whereas the snails can only hide around the pots 👍🏼

Plant diary time 🤓 - the last of the Echinacea's purchased in September. Despite the bud, I don't think it will fully open before the cold snap starts. So as much as I want to see it flower, I'm going to cut it off so that this youngster can preserve its energy into root growth.
