I haven’t as of yet Sue, as it’s just been fairly mildish frosts - I was going to risk it see how much it can take this year. It’s under the cherry tree anyway so I imagine it must get a bit of protection. If it looks like snow I might pop it in the polytunnel or shed for a couple of days. It’s in a pot. @suerichards

Oh yes, check it out Rach they might be forming now. I’m still experimenting where it’s final position will be so it’s just in a temporary pot right now. Think I have about 20 or so buds on it. @rachelbrooks

19/02/19 - Star Plant Update - did a bit of retail therapy last Friday at RHS Wisley and picked up this shrub which I’ve been wanting for edges. The straight species has yellow flowers which hang from naked stems in late winter/early spring, but this cultivar has lovely orange red flowers. Hoping to plant it up in a new little woodland patch later in the spring 😁

Thanks Enid! I only heard of it a couple of years ago - Wisley had a while border full of them although most hadn’t opened yet. I can’t remember what the foliage looks like but I guess I will find out shortly 😁 @godfreye

Same Julie, then i saw one lonely bush at Wisley a couple of years ago and now they have loads all in one border. It hopefully will add a bit of interest to my garden other than bulbs! 😂 @juliesgarden
