🙌🏼 it's definitely a dark one, but I think this was taken late evening so it may appear more darker in the photo than to the eye. It didn't do very well after this so I split it last November - hoping for a better display this year @justin

@richard.spicer.7906 I agree with the others looks a great colour. Was its first year ? I had also planted a young one a couple of years back. Then first year not much happen the following year flowered very well all summer until into early winter.

@lamaisonbleueoleron no, I think it's been here for many years and was here when I bought the house in 2008. The previous owners had been living in the house since the 1950s, so this is possibly an old specimen. It was very tired looking for the last few years I've been here, this year the worst, and to complicate matters a number of overcrowded daffs grew right through the middle. So I took the opportunity this year to split it and dig up the overcrowded bulbs. I have about 10 new plants now 😀

Flowers finished now, followed by these lovely seed heads. Deadhead though to get another flush of flowers.

That's a great shot. It looks really delicate.

Re-classified, as I think this is a different variety from first thought.
