Geranium x riversleaianum 'Mavis Simpson'

Morning everyone 😀. The last show of my geraniums before I split them earlier in the week. They weren't so good at the beginning of this year, but they seemed to have picked up towards the end.

Do you cut them right down after flowering to encourage them to flower again please❓❓❓

No, that's it for them now for this year Pearl. It sounds cruel but after separating the clumps I cut all the flowers off, and most of the leaves, and trim the roots as well. This will ensure it gets a good chance of recovery and a good start for next year. I'm not expecting any significant regrowth this year other than roots below the ground @fuschia

@fuschia darn it, I miss read your comment - you mean after normal flowering? Then yes. I give them a Chelsea chop around May time, and then again after the first flush of flowers. I may do it a third time as well depending on the time of year. 👍🏼
