Hippeastrum (Diamond Group) 'Picotee'

Taken last week - it’s a keeper I think 👌🏼. Very glad I’ve tried these now, it’s good to challenge ourselves. Still learning about what to do next with these, the flowers have faded now on this one (actually, I had to scrape them off the window as it had dried solid to it 😂) and I’ve chopped the stems off. Foliage is starting to come through. Bulb feels a little squishy which is a worry as I’ve been so careful not to overwater it 🤞🏼 #amaryllis #hippeastrum #hippeastrumpicotee

Just been checking it this morning and it’s throwing up another flower bud along with the leaves 😳. I guess the bulb must be ok’ish if it’s still trying to flower. I’ve been watering once every ten days roughly and it sits next to a radiator @juliesgarden @rachelbrooks @kathy @ripjuju @valjones-hughes

I’m trying my first Amaryllis - I’ve never tried them before so got a few bulbs in terracotta pots. This one isn’t doing much yet after about 8 weeks but it still seems to be alive. Good job I have patience 🤣 #amaryllis #hippeastrum #hippeastrumpicotee #bulb

I don’t know why I never tried before - I saw them previously as a bit of a novelty at Christmas but now quite looking forward to seeing them in flower 😬 @Alcurtis93
