Hi Judy, so sorry for delay - I have about 100-120 pots (never done an actual count so I may have got that wrong, feels like that number though! 😂) - all my pots are adapted to what they are container. I tend to single plant only, I never mix them. My Iris and Crocus pots are made with a very well drained gritty soil mix - I think their native environments are on the side of mountains in the Caucasus region, Turkey and Iran area so like dry summers and can cope with cold winters @plants

Are you going to leave these in the pots, or transfer them to the ground? So many of "you" gters have things in pots! I didn't realize there could be so much gardening going on during the winter!! I have sooo much to learn! Its very exciting!

Hi @lesliecole49 👋🏼 - I'll keep these in their pots. These little Iris and crocus are so small I often think they get lost in a border display. I moved many of my smaller bulbs to pots last year and I had a much better display and appreciation for them. Definitely worth trying if you have space for some pots 😀

I've definitely become more of an enthusiast over the last two years. I have my absolute favourites like galanthus, and also eucomis (I've been collecting a few different species), Iris reticulata and histrioides much more recently 😊 @deekay

I've thought the same about the little bulb flowers, that they'd be lost in my yard. Boy, do I have space for pots. Will definitely be trying this

It is nice to have special interest plants to focus on. If we move slowly through the species, by the time our life is done we might have quite a bit of knowledge.🤔
