More signs of life, these #iris have responded well to their recent division.

Divided a very large clump of Siberian Iris into about 9 pieces. I don't think it had previously been touched in years! 😳 - hoping for a good display next year 👍🏼

Divided 15th November

You have been busy 😊👍

They'll look amazing

I need help identifying this plant

That looks like Montbretia to me... Does it have orange flowers?

Hi Justin, I recall they were purple like an iris. I have got some Montbretia and the leaves look a lot wider than these. I think it will be flowering in a few weeks so I'll post some more pics soon

Maybe they're the miniature Iris?

Or Katherine Hodgkin variety... Take a look at mine and see if flower is same...

Okey doke, I'll check it out 👍

Definitely an iris of some sort...

Finally found out what this was, after seeing some very similar Iris at RHS Wisley today 😁

👏👏👏

Meanwhile, at the better end of the garden, the Iris are looking suddenly glorious! It’s hardly flowered for the last five years, i divided it back then and it never really flowered as well. Possibly the wet May has helped as we’ve had very dry springs previous years. I left the self seeded foxgloves last autumn and they have grown well too.
Irises always sulk a year or two after transplanting
My irises are flowering for the first time in 5 years too
Love the color combination
I have 2 lots of iris about to flower, they were a surprise find as I thought they were amongst my 'killed it' list.
It’s strange for me too, it’s a good year for the Iris, some I hadn’t seen in awhile. And we live in different climates. 🤔🌞
@richard.spicer.7906....... Wonderful colour Richard....... Spectacular.
Fabulous colour Richard. My irises have been poor for a couple of years. I have one ready to pop Yay 🎉
They are lovely so tall and proud what a show🤗
