This, GT'ers, is my gardening nightmare right now. Whilst it can be a great hedging plant and shrub (even good for topiary) - it needs to be kept under control. I inherited a garden full of it at the back. It's so wild now it's taken over and I'm tackling the two very large bushes today for the chop!

Good luck Richard, 👍 you will definitely need a 🍺 or 🍻 later!

Haha! Yes indeed. Maybe I'll have my hangover tomorrow now! 😂 @lamaisonbleueoleron

Good luck Richard I hope you win unscathed !! 😳

Thanks @susiwoo - no injuries, yet 😀👍🏼

I hope you're winning! 😀

Do the roots come up easily or will you have to treat them 😕

Thanks for the warning

This plant pretty much covers a large portion of the bottom of my garden. It is a hedge form of honeysuckle (thanks to @janric @gardening-vet for helping me identify it from an earlier post if theirs a few days ago 👍🏼). It's quite a thick hedge and occasionally has these pretty purple #berries scattered across it. 🤓

I will have to look out for the purple berries on mine @richard.spicer.7906 thank you

Berries are a super colour 👍

I've used it quite a few times as a quick growing topiary plant. Needs trimming more frequently than box but achieves the end result quicker and no blight

They are very translucent @debs69

Love the berries on this plant !! :)
This is what I've had to contend with 😩
How the hell are you gonna get rid of everything you've cut out?!? 🤔
Fireworks 🎆
Will make a HUGE difference!!
I would opt for a bond fire as @Melissa3 suggested for the stuff that can't be wood chipped. Is this a bad kind of lonicera?
@SylviaDavies - ha, here's one of my large specimens that I'm trying to tame!!
