In my attempt to try grasses for next year, this is a second Pennisetum that I've bought. I've planted it alongside Echinacea and Solidago, with some Alliums in between. Hope that will work cause I have no idea about planting combinations. It sounded good in my head 😂

Would be interested to know how this does. I know some guides list it as a perennial and some annual. For me it would never overwinter :(

Yeah, don't think it's fully hardy Tim, but hoping that it survives just a little frost. Will protect it if the weather turns really bad. Not sure how yet though 🤔 @gardening-vet

I gardened on very heavy clay when I had it so the ground did tend to sit a little too wet. Did get a couple through the winter but they never thrived. Hopefully you will have more luck, it's a cracking plant when it's happy.
