Seems a first today also for my Californian Tree Poppy - Romneya coulteri 😊👏🏼👏🏼 ,, standing pretty tall too at 4ft at the back of my dry border but I'm sure over time it will get bigger #romneya #romneya-coulteri #californiantreepoppy

Newbie to the garden that I bought a couple of weekends ago. Looks fantastic when it reaches full size, but clearly this one is just a baby #romneya #romneya-coulteri #californiantreepoppy
This is brilliant i never knee this excisted. 😅😅
😳 a Poppy. That. Is. A. Tree? 😳😳
Have to check this out
I know, right? I don't think it will ever get tree size in this country and it will die back every year. But it will look great!
Looks like you will get plenty babies through suckers, will investigate and see if i can grow it here in scotland
I think its fully frost hardy, so you may be ok, fingers crossed and good luck with your search. Keep me posted 👍🏼
Great plant, grows very well a sunny spot and is established in 2-3 years here in Jersey. Mid/late summer winner!
Excellent - checked up on mine yesterday and new growth is appearing. Hoping to get it established a bit more this year as its still quite tiny. Thanks @BlairJerseyGardener 👍🏼
Californian Tree poppy blooms look like giant fried eggs 🍳😊👌🏼 #romneya #romneya-coulteri #californiantreepoppy
Never seen anything like this in a tree. Amazing. Thanks for sharing :)
Stunning shot Rich 💛💛💛
My pleasure @MelanieAt - I would say it's more like a very large shrub than a tree. It gets bigger and more vigorous each year I've had it though. In its third year now and clumping up well - standing around 4-5ft tall. Expecting many more blooms next year 👍🏼
😊🙏🏼 @daisy-jane
Looks like a little fountain in the centre Rich, or a lady with big skirt. Sorry my overactive mind 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fabulous 😊😊👌
😂👗 @fuschia
I've not seen one of these for years love them I used to call them fried egg plants
👍👍👌
I saw one a couple of years ago at the gardens of the National Rose Society, and they were selling divisions so I bought one. They had huge ones. Sadly it's gone into administration now, which is a shame as it was just down the road from me and nice to visit every so often @carolgs
You can take root cuttings from them @richard.spicer.7906
