This plant looked very unhappy last year as I accidentally planted it in full sun in error (always read the label folks). I I thought it wasn't going to forgive me, but I then moved it to a more shadier, damper part of the garden in Autumn and it's coming on really well now - it's even got some flower buds developing 😀
Well done, you are obviously doing something right for the plant to come back looking so lush and green and with buds too 👍 mines in the shade and in a damp area but not looking as good as yours 😓
@richard.spicer.7906 plants can be very forgiving. I'm not what you call s conventional gardener. I put things where I'd like them to go rather than what the label says. If it's happy it stays if not then goes on a little trip round the garden to another position to see how it fares. Generally I have no issues, on occasion I get it very wrong but it's a learning curve and makes it interesting. I do have a lot of knowledge and know where things are meant to go but I like to push the boundaries😊
Throwback from last year #summer365 - taken at #rhswisley in late May. I was expecting my one to look just like this, but planted it in the wrong conditions. It's in a new home now so really hoping for life to spring into it later this year. They like partial shade, and damp soil I think.
Ok, i've made a mistake with this one. Planted it a few weeks ago whilst in a rush before hols and it ended up in a good sunny spot. It had no instructions on the label other than its name, and only now I just realised that it prefers partial shade and needs constant moist soil. Will have to move it now 😒

Looks happy now 👍👍
