These were an impulse buy last year, new variety but can’t find out much about them as they don’t seem to be on the Dutch or RHS bulb register yet. it’s supposed to be a variegated form of Tulipa tarda - green leaf with a cream margin - but wasn’t expecting this red colouring too 🤭 - they were from Taylors bulbs and saw them in the GC - anyone else buy them so we can swap notes? Very few pics online about it so I don’t know if this ‘is normal’ #tulipa #tulipatarda #tulipa-tarda #tulip

Whatever tulip they turn out to be they are worth growing just for the beautiful leaf colour.

I haven’t heard of these so I’ll be interested to see how they develop. The leaves are really striking. I wonder what the flowers will look like? 🤔❤️💚😘
