Yucca aloifolia 'Purpurea' syn. Yucca dismetiana 'Blue Boy'

The Yucca is looking kinda fab in the polytunnel too, with its purple mauve foliage thing going on 👌🏼 still find it difficult to keep spotlessly clean, forever washing the leaves down. I think I should just let it be. Gonna give it a nice new coloured pot in spring I think 🤔 . I’ve noticed since living in Texas there’s a couple species that look like there’s a slight powdery film on them but it’s just the Cactus what it is I have no idea maybe that’s a good question for an instructor lol🤣🤔🤔🤗😊💕

Another one for #tuesdaytreasures - thought I’d try this Yucca as I’d never seen a purple leafed Yucca before. I don’t think it’s that hardy so I’ll need to protect it over winter #yucca #yucca-aloifolia #yuccaaloifoliapurpurea #spanishbayonet #foliage

Nice colours! I've heard the green ones are hardy but the rest need winter protection. But then again if you're in a warm microclimate in London it might be ok.

I'm just outside London, still get cold winters and plenty of frost and snow. So I'll have to keep it protected. It wasn't cheap, but worth a punt I think 😄 @ublaszko
