I should’ve included this one in the collage!
@ausgardentags lovely 😊 I really enjoyed your "Zygo" collage😍 it was like a Zygo encyclopaedia!
Oh thanks Rikkie! Makes the effort worthwhile. 🙂 @rikkie
Amazing colour, harder to get than the reds and pinks
@rosegardengirl oh Champaign yellow is hard to get? I was so lucky 😊

A short movie would do a much better job to show what I devised to deter Noisy Miner birds from destroying these lovely flowers. A piece of reflective red tape is attached to a turning fan, which seems to be working very well 😄😄😄
Wow what a beautiful colour 😍
Thanks❤️🥰 @topiarytragedy
Update: after observing for one week, I think this little trick works very well only for the side that faces the fan...Miner birds somehow worked out that the other side is okay 😥
Oh dear... what about lots of strands of tinsel hanging down from the pergola near the pot?
@ausgardentags well... those stands of tinsel are originally there to prevent birds from crashing into the window, but they sometimes perch on them😅😅😅 Refund please, Buxxxxgs😄
😂🤣😂

Torn apart by Noisy Miner birds (Australian native) who look for nectar 😥😥😥 their stamens should not be visible from the bottom...

The first round seems to be finishing. The second round has begun at the top. Now brought indoors as the temperature is going down to 8 degrees Celsius.

I think these pink ones are buds. Am I right?
I’d say so!
Thank you @brightcolours

Flowering very successfully those year, in 2023. This means, however, Noisy Miners are also very keen to try to suck nectar from these flowers, leaving ugly claw marks on the leaves. Made this ugly, but hopefully effective, protective roof to try to discourage the birds' frequent visits.
