Help me identify this plant. I found this bush in the garden which looked like it hadn't survived our colder than usual winter. But now it's blooming! I'd like to know what it is in order to help coax it back to health. #plantid

Any tips for nursing it back to health? It looks like about 90% of the plant is dead, all cracked and grey wood. Do I just water, fertilize and hope for the best? Dig it up and move to the greenhouse? I've read they don't like extreme heat and it's in full sun with the upcoming weekend promising to be scorching. 😬 #help #advice
Give it some time.. I'm sure it'll perk right up soon enough.. I also thought my butterfly bushes didn't survive the winter.. Turns out they are late sleepers😂😂..they started getting tiny green leaves late in the spring.. When everything else was already green and blooming.. Lol

I'm amazed at how this plant has come back from the dead. We went from almost zero to about 30% growth over the summer. #backfromthedead #nevergiveup
@gjones I don't actually know as we haven't quite recovered enough yet. 😊 I think I got one or two blooms during the summer but they didn't open up very well. Hopefully next summer will see a bit more color on it.
