This is supposed to smell bad, but I don't seem to be able to smell it! It grows like mad here, self seeding everywhere. Its flowers provide interest all winter and they are ready to cut down as the Spring flowers come out. Great for being hardy here and trouble free - unless you find they smell rotten!
I think it smells bad if you bring it indoors and it gets warmer!
Ah! Thanks @joanboston ! I thought maybe I just lacked the "nose" for it. I have never brought it indoors.
It's the leaves that smell badly when crashed. 😅
