https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curcuma - According to #wikipedia most gingers have some part that is edible. #tumeric is the results of dried and ground #ginger. So yours very well could be, but I'm not seeing a lot of information about about the variety that you have. Obviously, you need to investigate the #gracillima variant much further to determine if it is safe to eat. Hope this helps!!

That’s not edible ginger: Zingiber officinalis. It has an insignificant white flower.
