Figs are starting to rippen. I'm trying to dry them so I can use them all at once for fig chutney.

That's a clever idea. Ours ripen a few at a time, which is lovely if you just want some on your breakfast or whatever but not much use if you want to make chutney or a tart. So freezing might be good as then you could use them in one go. 💡
