Thanks @grelis. I took this pic a week ago. You can see how many buds still had not opened. Now they are just a massive purple mound! I really should have pruned them back earlier this year. They got way bigger than I expected and swallowed up that entire bed. But at least now I get to enjoy more flowers this way.
