I didn’t know that green acted more like a bud and flowers came out of it?!?! @treefrog44 sent me a ginger plant from Florida but this one , that green at the top is bright red. Do you know the name of the one I’m talking about or does urs also turn red????😊💕

@terrimclaughlin there are many types of ginger, and they bloom differently... the one I sent you is the red button ginger

@treefrog44 I guess I worded that wrong I was wondering if that green part where the flower is coming from, if that turns red. I didn’t think so since it was blooming bu I thought on the red ginger that where his plant is green mine will b red and I didn’t know any of these bloomed a flower. I hope I said that right. Mine are still doing ok. I’m excited for spring so they’ll get some sun😊💕

Yes If I remember correctly @terrimclaughlin the top looks like a cone and turns red... do an image search on Google, you can see the different pictures 😉

Yes, @terrimclaughlin, the green part will turn red. Some of them have 2 or 3 flowers.
