Update on my clementine. Starting to change colour 😊🍊 #clementine #clementinefruit #gyo
How exciting 🍊🍊
Exactly Jane. I’ve been checking them multiple times a day to make sure they’re okay. This is the first year we will eat from it. Last year it carried a few fruit but fell too early due to an end of summer drought. I water this one personally to make sure it doesn’t suffer like last year. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 @pelly
That sounds like me when I've down seeds, I'm forever checking them 😂😂
It’s a must Jane. I’m always anxious about things I’m growing 😄😄 we care too much to just leave it alone 😊 @pelly
Do these take a while to ripen? Perhaps depending on the amount of warmth & sun 🤔
I totally agree 👍👍
Yes, Jeff. I always wanted to grow them but this is the first time. I was surprised to see the flowers in July and fruit were deep green all through the summer then now with the cold it started to change colour and ripen but I guess we’ll be able to try them in mid-November. I’ve been waiting on them since July 😁😁 @jeatacake
I'm sure they'll be well worth the wait 💚👉🍊 then 😋
Hahaha, I hope so Jeff. I really hope so. I have another Pomelo tree which had two fruit on it, but one of them fell already and I scared for the other one now. Hopefully both trees will have ripening fruit soon 😄 @jeatacake
Do you know that it was only a few weeks ago that i tried a pomelo for the first time. Quite a light/delicate flavour compared to say a grapefruit. Sorry to hear you lost one fruit from it. I wonder if they can ripen off the tree? 🤞 all goes well with the other one & the clementines. You'll have to sing the famous song when they're ready! 😁
I’m so glad you got to try it. I prefer to grapefruit but not to clementines. Those are special. Thank you for wishing me luck with my Pomelo. It’s so hard to grow at first but when it gets comfortable, big and old, I am sure things will be better. You mean Oh my darling, Clementine, right ? @jeatacake

With the cold weather, these babies are changing colours #clementine #clementinefruit #gyo #fruit-tree
Will they ripen now or is it too late? 🤔🤔
How yummy 😋
@gjones They’re a favourite of mine because they are similar to oranges but are way easier to peal 😁 they’re also full of vitamin C 🧡🧡
They’re still not in season yet. These bloom in the summer and carry their fruit from midsummer to the beginning of winter. They need a lot of water and some cold to fully ripen. I’m super excited because this is the first time I got so many fruit on the tree. They used to fall in by the end of summer because of the heat 😄 @pelly
Thank you Sue, they really are delicious 😋 @suerichards
Ah, I didn't realise that 🙄🙄
Do you like clementine, Jane? They’re like lemons in my area but even harder to grow @pelly
I love them Rula, we can’t grow them here 🍊🍊
Me too, Jane🧡🧡 The only reason I could grow them is because I live in an area near the dead sea valley. We’re 700m above sea level and I choose a spot for it not to be effected by the weather too much. It’s been difficult to get to this point but hopefully this year we’ll eat from it🍊

They look scrumptious Rula 🍊🍊🍊
