A new info to me was that this #mossrose is also called #tenoclock flowers 🕰⏰ So now I have the four o’clock flower and the ten o’clock in the garden 🤣🤣 Do you know any other time flowers ?
There are lots of sunrise and sunsets but I've not seen any specific times other than what you've got 🤔
Wow, they're so beautiful 🥰 I only have flowers that are not quite so exact. Morning glory & evening primrose! 😁
Wow that’s interesting Alif 🤔 so that means the name comes from a real purpose 😄 Thanks for sharing it with us @alif
Thanks Jane 🧡🤍💛 and even these are new to me 😁 But if I find any new ones, I’m definitely going to add them 😄 @pelly
Thank you Jeff 💛🤍🧡 Does that say something about your personality 🤔 just kidding 🤣 They’re all amazing flowers but I haven’t grown primrose yet. I’ll have to give it a go sometime 😁 @jeatacake
I have been known to be a little vague 😆 By the way, not just any old primrose, an evening primrose. They're native plants here & grow very well & provide lots if seeds if you're interested?
I expected a man who exposes forgeries to be very clear and direct but I see you have to lear the secrets of the trade to be good at it 😆 Of course I’m interested Jeff. To tell you the truth, I’m always hesitant about plants native to other climates but I’d love to try new flowers and you never know what will grow well @jeatacake
It’s very interesting to know these little tidbits about wach flower’s name Alif 💚💚 thank you for sharing them 😊
Well, my work life & that at home are usually very different, although I have to say that because of the big variations in day lengths here & changing our clocks twice a year, it's maybe not too wise to name a flower after the time it blooms! As for foreign seeds, the way I look at is that there's nothing to lose by trying 😊
That’s a great way to look at things 😊 I actually struggled to find my teacher persona when I first started working as a teacher but you’re right about having separate lives at work and home. Same goes for trying new things. You’re right about that too 🥰 plus I love trying new things even if I don’t get them right from the first try 😉 @jeatacake
So long as it doesn't cause harm or create a loss then trying new things can be fun & exciting, even if there are a few failures along the way. 🥰😊👍
A few #mossrose #portulaca in #pink and #orange 💗🧡
Lovely colours 🌺🌼🌺
They're gorgeous 💖🧡❤
Oohhhh love these
Thank you Jane 🧡💗 @pelly
Thank you Jeff 💗🧡💗 I’ve grown to love these because they simply take care for themselves and flower like crazy in the hot sunny days 😄 @jeatacake
Thank you Hillary 💗🧡 Me too 😁 @hhartg
They may well be perennials there too 🤞
I’m hoping so Jeff 😄 but it depends on the winter temps I guess❄️ @jeatacake
They're hard enough to grow in summer here! I hope they're ok in winter there 🤞
We’ll try and see 😉 @jeatacake
