You have to pinch them 1" from top in july & aug to have bushier plant and more flowers. They like shade and cooler areas.

I wouldn't even know how to @Acetaker They are individuals, and I don't know if they multiply or spread like bulbs do. It's only their second season though.

@gjones they are in part sun under apple and pear trees. The soil is very rich as they were planted in former compost pile area. They are from Brecks, planted this past June.
