I would agree with @icedance - I used to have one of these as a kid, although they were once classified as Opuntia subulata - my little DK book of cacti has it as an Opuntia but looking online it appears the Genus has changed recently.
Hi @richard.spicer.7906 I looked up this plant and it says it grows massive. I bought it in the same little pot with two other small cactus hoping it would stay small. Could this be a dwarf variety. I hope so. 👍😊
Hi @sambucussam & @richard.spicer.7906 I noted the eventual height in a pot inside you should be able to keep it within bounds and enjoy for a few years it's a very attractive Cacti 🌵 wondering if the powers that be have just bitten the bullet and given it back it's full botanical rather than a shortening? It doesn't look like it's been re classified as with some Aster recently

Doesn't be a Crassula, is a cactus, I know more of succulents that cactus, I'm sorry @sambucussam
