Clematis 'Arabella' (Integrifolia Group)

Older one. I always prune them after #newgrowth appears. I hope to take better care this year🤞

So cute! Small flowers this year, I guess it needed more fertilizer? What to do with seeds?

The 2 Arabelas. Old one has only one branch and almost reaches 2nd ladder, new one has 2 branches and is over 1st ladder. Bottom leaves are badly devoured trough.

Last year's #clematis-arabella has 3 #newshoots. Will tie plant tag next to it.

#planted next to the last year's one, #newshoots reached above the stick in these 3 weeks since the purchase. Last year I didn't wait shoots to develop, buried them under the ground and they never came up. So this is something I learned.

Now I purchased another #clematis-arabella #van-der-starre, it says 2 m but it was so small last year, I think to plant it near the 1st one. We reduced grape vine a lot and hopefully that spot won't be in such a deep shade. Decisions decisions 🤔 #newpurchase #lidl

It appears live, I tied it better

It has 3 buds that I can see. Now I tied it towards the left in place if passiflora that is not looking well, and for better display since it is so small (at least it was last year)

Decided to plant passiflora next to it, luckily I saved the #tags since I already forgot that it will be blue. Arches are pretty big so plenty of space for both. #colorcombo #notmyplant on the photos yet

(photo from the label) Planted this evening, fingers crossed. I wander if this one plant is enough for one arch?

I planted it a bit deeper than it was in the container, and I covered those tiny shoots with dirt. It was late and too dark so I didn't notice. Maybe I shouldn't cover them? I hope they'll spring up anyway

p.s. they never did.
