Forgot to prune before and now it sprouted on very long bare stem. Now it is too late, I will prune above the sprouted and let it hang.

I must have done something good this year! It produced only one flower last year 🌺
Mine was a new plant last year and I only got a couple flowers, this year it has done much better

Poor thing, I don't have any more recent photo, but it needs to be planted into the ground.

Now I can clearly see it would be better if I had cut it shorter. Yet I'm glad it come back, that is only important.
Buds on mine!

Guess who is alive! Yay 😍
#pruning above shoots done 23.2: yet it's type 3 clematis supposed to be pruned hard, I should done it earlier now I don't want to cut the shoots. To be aware next time.
I have this one too, waiting impatiently for signs of survival!
@lesliecole49 if it is class 3, prune it before it wakes up, class 3 flowers on this year growth and I didn't know that
#newgrowth
I'm learning that, mine are group 2 but none doing really well for me so I'm really hoping they all come back this year. I know one has died but there's a few more I'm crossing my fingers for
Oh, right this is a group 3, I'll have to do some more research on it. I have it so it'll wind up a wooden post but it did poorly last year I'm not sure how much of it is there to even prune!
