The same as this time last year, it is yellowing. And it is way too dense. Now I'll cut them, i hope that will help?

I have no clue about this.

It goes dormant in the summer, could this be your summer?

This is a low growing matt forming invasive in most areas... I'm just reading Google posts about this

🤷 @lesliecole49 I purchased it as ground cover so it is strange. I think I should have shortened it when it was blooming or right afterwards. It is middle of spring here. It is true that I tend to purchase invasive plants for shaded areas, since they are impossible to kill😆 I have ivy and 3 Loniceras, too. Well if this go dormant again in spite of cutting, I'll put something else there instead as ground cover. I must admit it was lovely very early in the year. It is extremely small garden.

I purchased it locally https://www.bauhaus.hr/travne-smjese/sjeme-za-travu-dihondra/p/27009431 whoops, plant ID was wrong, I edited it just now

I have found this, it may be the reason: "The surface should only be mowed occasionally to encourage stronger growth of the side ridges. Slightly more often it is necessary to mow on more shaded areas, where due to lack of light the plants elongate quickly." It become too elongated, dense and susceptible to illness. So mowing is in order, if it's not too late.

In #fullbloom - is there a way to survive the spring? #advice please

Not sure I understand the question... does this not survive thru spring?

@lesliecole49 yes, last year it produced lots of seed, leaves turned yellow and disappeared end of spring, leaving the bare ground (it can be seen in last year's photos). I purchased it as ground cover so I would prefer not to have bare ground during the summer. But it is in full bloom now already.

Can't help you there, I don't plant ground covers yet and know nothing about this one.

I did find this little bit... "Lesser celandine is a perennial plant. The tops of the plants die back after flowering, but the roots continue to live and grow under the ground."

#first-blooms-of-the-year to my surprise, I forgot it blooms early. I don't want it to turn to seeds and disappear in the middle of the summer like it did last year!

Today I dug out some that were in the way, planted to pots until I clear the area they'll go (didn't take picture).

It decided to come out!

Yellowed, produced seeds and gone. I suppose it was too much rain in that too heavy soil. I'm adding sand to each bed now as I go by.

One survivor, self planted in amarilis pot.

#advice please, was there anything to prevent this from happening? What to do now. It was doing great, as can be seen in previous pics, and I was hoping it will be invasive and propagate further. After blooming there was lots of rain. Here it turned yellow, on another place it turned yellow and died away completely leaving only seed-like nodules.

I guess this was dichondra since it is now blooming there in that spot. 🤔 Argh the app doesn't recognize that picture is from last year.
