Lovely! I've always admired the display at Malvern Spring show but never grown them. Are they easy?

It was a gift, I popped it in the greenhouse over winter and didn't water it. I took it out 4 weeks ago and started watering bi weekly. That is pretty much the sum of it's care for the last year 😃

They are planted in Spagnum moss and Orchid Bark @tash74

@sara2309 Thanks Sara, I've just been reading up on them. I need to get some orchid bark anyway to repot my one surviving orchid. Maybe I'll be able to find some bulbs/tubers/rhizomes (didn't get that far in my research) in the Autumn if I don't find any plants this Spring!

Ooh! That was quick! Mine are now planted in sphagnum moss and have got their first leaves! 😀

Oh I like these Sara! I think I've planted mine incorrectly though as I've buried the bulb! Will have to dig them up and try again! 😀

@bigemrg These were a gift from @natart last year already potted up. They went in the greenhouse over winter and not watered. I brought them out a fortnight ago and soaked the pot. I do as I am told lol

What a nice present for you! Do you know what they are planted in? It looks very fibrous!

@bigemrg dig them up immediately. They hate soil. They are in a mixture of orchid bark and spagnum moss. Sit them on the top and push them in enough to stand upright. Thats all they need.😊
