Flaunt Your Leaves: I am so ecstatic to see some new baby leaves on my String of Hearts props. This was my first time using the butterfly method, and I think that's my favorite way to propagate these from now on. 🦋 #prop-it-like-its-hot #propagation #newgrowth #stringofhearts #ceropegiawoodii #butterflymethod #flauntyourleaves #foliagefriday
What is the butterfly method?
@heatherdirtyhands It's where you cut a string of hearts stem into many pieces, each segment only having one set of leaves. (So they look like little butterflies). You can put them in soil or sphagnum moss, just keep them lightly moist. I heard that it encourages branching and you can see results very quickly. I have not been disappointed! Here's the video I followed: https://youtu.be/wdL78NRG43Q
Hey guys, I know I just posted a picture of these cuttings a couple days ago. But what the heck is this?? They're blooming now. 😂 I appreciate the effort, babes, but redirect your energy! Haha. #prop-it-like-its-hot #propagation #ceropegiawoodii #stringofhearts #blooming
I'll make a point of checking mine 😀
Ha! Jumped the gun there, little plant!
This is what I always called a rosary plant, one of my favorites as a child. Haven't seen one in years! Nice!😍♥️
Wow! Congratulations! 👏👏👏 That shows your plant is happy and your doing everything right. Those flowers will turn to seeds and you can plant them and get more vines! I’ve been growing them for many years. 🌞
Nearly every time I prop these guys, they bloom. 🤩 I think they just like to show out.
