I have mostly houseplants and cacti. I'm a beginner doing constant research, trying not to kill anything. USDA zones 8a and 8b.

Epipremnum aureum syn. Epipremnum pinnatum 'Aureum', Scindapsus aureus, Pothos aureus, Rhaphidophora aurea

Day 7: Common Plant. How many golden pothos do you have? I have 2 right now, but they multiply so easily. This one is named Buttercup. #goldenpothos #pothos #epipremnum-aureum #houseplant #letsgrowin2020 #letsgrowtogether

Posting my water-dwelling plants today! This is my second golden pothos. I have a bigger one living in soil. This one's name is Goldilocks. #pothos #epipremnum-aureum #golden-pothos #houseplant

I like this! So does it live in just water permanently?

@dantolomeo It does! It needs regular water changing and occasional fertilizer, but it's one of the few types that can live like this.

Interesting! I'll have to find an appropriate vessel and maybe give it a go.

@angiie I always change the water at least every 2 weeks, sometimes more often if it looks dirty. I add a few drops of liquid houseplant fertilizer every 2 weeks as well. A clear container will grow algae quicker than an opaque one, so keep that in mind when choosing one. Just keep the water clean and topped off so the roots are never above water. I started this one having roots already, but I got lucky. You have a much better rate of success if you start from cuttings!
