Day 30: Favorite Plant. It changes sometimes, but right now I am really appreciating my Hindu Rope, Elizabeth Blair. #letsgrowin2020 #letsgrowtogether #favoriteplant #hoya #hoyacarnosacompacta #hindurope #houseplant

First watering since adoption down! I think it went well. Elizabeth Blair is draining in the sink. It's rainy today, so she may need some time with a plant light after this. #hoya #hoyacarnosacompacta #hindurope #watering

Watch me spoil the hell out of this plant as if it were my first born child. #hoyacarnosacompacta #hindurope #hoya #houseplant #readyforchristmas #wishlistplant #morningsun

It came! My baby was very carefully packaged and made it home safely. I'm so excited to have this plant! It's all thanks to @pmulder and her Christmas generosity!🎄 I already named this plant Elizabeth Blair. Penny, should I water her today or wait? If I should wait, how long? I don't want to mess this up. 😂 #hoyacarnosacompacta #hindurope #hoya #plant-mail #christmaspresent #houseplant #houseplants
@savannahssucculentgarden I’m so glad it made it ok! Never shipped a plant before.. Didn’t have any yellow leaves when I sent it must’ve not liked a dark box but it will be fine. Wait a couple days unless it’s super dry. I’d get it in some sun right away. Likes humidity. You’re so welcome!
#gtagfriends are the best. 😍
This is fantastic!! Just beautiful!! 😍 I just bought mine yesterday!! We are on our Hindu Rope Plant journey together. I really want to do this right, too 💚 You will definitely have to give me tips as you learn 🥰
Of course! And you share everything you learn too. I want to have a long, happy rope. ☺️ I'm glad to have a H.compacta buddy! @sarahkbartley
@pmulder What type of soil did you have her in? A bit got dumped out in transit, so her roots are exposed. I think I need to top it off.
@savannahssucculentgarden I use perlite and cactus & succulent soil. I mix my Hoyas and succulents pry close to 40% perlite and 60% soil. Idk exact I just dump. I treat them pretty much like succulents except they like a little more water I have found and humidity. I was just hopping back on here to also tell you I forgot the dang heat pack! Pry got a little chilly. Rookie Plant shipper move! Keep me posted. Can’t wait to watch it grow.
@pmulder Thank you! Lucky for her, I have both of those. She's topped off now. Looking lovely. 😊
I do too!! I want to do this right!! This is a page I found on how to care for her. I thought it was helpful. https://smartgardenguide.com/hindu-rope-plant-care/
I love these!
I wanted a fuller pot of hindu rope, so I ordered some on etsy. I potted it together with the one I already had, and I really like how it turned out. Can't wait for it to vine more! #hindurope #hoya #hoyacarnosacompacta #houseplant
This is on my wishlist. 😍
