This is a nice combo! I had this grass last year but the beast from the east got it.

Oh yeah! I didn't even see it @ublaszko ........ideas! All my grasses are in pots atm so they can be protected easier (most of my garden is pots as I only arrived at this house last autumn and I havn't started the garden yet as there's a huge rotten shed taking up loads of space and I dunno if I wanna invest in new stuff yet incase I decide to move to a bigger garden...i mean house?!lol)

Haha! Same, most of my garden is in pots but I have a couple of narrow borders I planted up last autumn. The carex grass was planted last summer so I thought it would've been established by then. Stipa tenuissima growing next to it survived. I got a new carex grass from Wilko which is gorgeous! It's brown with red new growth 😍😍 Carex berggrenii 👍

@ublaszko I'm not the biggest grass fan but I do enjoy seeing different coloured and unique ones. So far I've got black, red, yellow variegated and blue/grey so I've a couple to choose from for the new borders. That carex sounds cool, you just need a suitable spot where she won't get drenched and hopefully grow nicely not year for you🤞👌👍✌🌞🌞🌞

I love grasses but they take a long time to bulk up so I've kept them in pots so far. The new brown-red carex is doing really well and I managed to divide it between two pots 😉😉 Not a big fan of the black grass but I'd love hakonechloa macra (the gold one) and the blue/grey festuca. 👍👍 Oh I got the sweet flag grass as well this year 😍😍 It suffered a bit in the drought but it's recovering well now.

@ublaszko my fave is the festuca then the black ophiopogon. Luckily mine were big enough to split mine last yr and didn't end up with any casualties (as of yet) yayy 🤞😉✌

Leaves definitely look like hardy geranium but I don't recognise the flower

It's planted in with some hardy geraniums which are the leaves you see but the plant sorta looks like a creeper
