If it's hot and sunny the flowers only last a day or two depending on how hot, we are in the high 60's low 70's and mostly cloudy right now so they last 3 or 4 days, sadly they don't last long!😭 That is 2 rose of Sharon's in the planter next to it, the rain has taken off most of it's blooms!💘😍

#angeltrumpet #brugmansia #rooting the hubs went Edward scissorhands on Betty so I decided to see if this 4ft. Tall piece would root, hubs says it won't, I say it will! If it does it's an instant brug standard! Apparently I'll try anything!😂

I forgot to say, I put it in a vase of water and set it in the 5 gal. Bucket with brick hopefully holding it in place.

@terrimclaughlin no I didn't, these are kept in the garage through winter, I bring these out in April sometime (depending on weather), they lose all the leaves they had in the garage and start new ones, which is what they have now, once they develop one leaf you can start fertilizing them! I've had these for quite a few years now!💘😍

Very smart Shelley I used to just bring them in and if I could, in the spring buy others. After seeding through the winter I remember why I stopped!! It’s great if your young but not for that’s old bones but it was ok I’m having a plant sale next weekend I was going to have it this weekend but I not organized enough I’m selling as much as I can. Yeah he's starting too he use to say I worried about my plts. to much.... if they die just get another one. He didn't understand the love and didn't enjoy being with plts. and flowers, me, it relaxes me calms me I enjoy every minute it's just here it gets so hot so fast but he brought home that double colored sweet potato vine in my profile plus he won't let me touch his 2 Bird of Paradise plts. @cyndi mine are all in pots because they won't make it thru my winters. From what I've read they can actually be invasive if you can plant them in the ground and leave them. They are much more manageable in a pot , you just have to root cut them every year to keep them in a manageable size pot. If you want it at ground level you could bury the pot.need any more info , let me know!💘😍

@cyndi yes you want a big pot! 5gal. Or bigger! They come in white, yellow, pink (light), shades therein. If you find a purple on it is a datura not brugmansia!! They don't smell nearly as good! So unless you are absolutely crazy about the flower don't bother with a datura
