@columbiariver it is huge! They are shade plants but I've discovered if you grow them in full sun the color is much lighter(duh!) And it grows at an incredible rate! In the shade it grows very slowly!💘😍

Cool and sunny here. Moving things around indoors to prepare for floor install this weekend. And moving things around outside getting them ready to come inside after floor install.

@ShelleySnyder does your hakone grass die back over winter? Do you cut it back? I am growing it for the first time and thought I killed it over winter but it is coming back now it's spring, though slowly.

@studioa yes it does die back, that's why the change in color now. The only thing you need to remember is to cut it back before the spring. If you wait to long you will be cutting off new spring growth, the tips of the plant! Otherwise I have found this to be a very tough plant!💘😍

Shelley, I ran out of money before the floors were finished and the installer didn't take pity on me. Lol. I moved in anyway. I'm ginally where I can have someone come in and finish them. Yes I'm excited. Then, I can also finish the baseboards, which will help stop bugs and cold air. I get more slugs inside then I do outside. 🤣🤣🕷🐌 @ShelleySnyder

@janelleabella Japanese forest grass, you'll love it!! The tag says shade, which it does grow in shade but it will grow 2to3 times faster in sun!! So it's your choice as to where you want to plant it!💘😍
