These trees are beautiful in the spring but they are invasive as hell to the landscape! They are weak and split easily and the fruits are tiny, (I mean pea size) the birds eat and poop out the seeds the seeds don't throw true to the tree. Tho the new trees have the pretty flowers, they also have nasty thorns! They are illegal to sell now in Tennessee so they are just called ornamental pear instead.
Help me identify this plant, anyone know what kind of tree this is? My wife planted it the year her first child was born. She thought it was a dogwood but I wanted to be sure. It’s 14 years old today. Thanks everyone

Just swiped left, I see you have a Bradford pear so you know the fruits are not "fruit"
