@brimbporter pruning is definitely a good idea. I miss lilac so much. They grew crazy in New Mexico, almost every property had one but I've been here in Texas for almost 5yrs & haven't seen a single one anywhere. Most people here don't even know what a real lilac is, they think vitex is lilac
