One of my very favourite cut flowers - they last so long in a vase!

Iโ€™ve never thought of bringing them inside, although my cat may eat them 😂@KassSempervera

Yikes, you don't want the cat eating them - pretty much all bulb based plants are poisonous to cats, I think? I tried growing chincherinchees after first experiencing them as cut flowers from my grocer. My home grown ones have never been as good as your pictured one.

@KassSempervera Yes i think youโ€™re right about them being poisonous most of the flowers in my yard have to stay outside because of the cat😢. Maybe give them a couple of years I found they improve with age. I started out with just the 1 flower stalk about 3 years ago.

Thanks for the encouragement to give them time - I've been thinking about moving them as the location I planted them in has been encroached on by a nearby plant, giving them little access to sunlight. I know if I move them, the clock starts again, but they're never going to do well where they currently are 🤷โ€โ™€๏ธ🤷โ€โ™€๏ธ🤷โ€โ™€๏ธ

Yeah I have noticed they love sunlight so moving them may be a good idea. It shouldnโ€™t bother them too much if you moved them now, I planted my first one just as the flower was opening up, but worst case wait till they die back and then start fresh next year. Growing bulbs is very much trial and error I found. @KassSempervera
