My wonderful friend Ed (RIP) smiles back at me every time this frangi blooms. So fragrant and so colorful - I love this plant! Thank you, Janine, for sharing it with me.#tropicalflower #nofilter #memories #brightcolors

@skellyshelly this is a beautiful way to remember your friend. I think this is why sharing plants and recipes are important. 💕

@alovealoe I have several different types of Frangipani in my yard now. Some blossoms are all yellow, some are pale pink, and some are totally white. This one though, has the most intense colors of all.

You can graft different varieties onto other ones too.

They are beautiful. Do you have to bring them inside during the winter?

@alovealoe Here in sw Florida we don't bring anything in for the winter. Nope - all of my frangipanis are planted in the ground for good.

@brightcolours Ooooh! Grafting them together would be incredibly cool! Might have to give that a try, thanks!

An interesting choice; I may try this next year! If any of you can check out my page and ID the flowers I asked about I'd appreciate it. I'd like to know the names of them all before posting full pic of garden. Also, do you reccomend pine straw or bark as mulch and why? It's been very wet here and my garden is full of gnats and little shiny flies and Roly poly bugs and tiny white baby Roly poly babies (I guess that's what they are). I know they mostly feed on dead plant material like red worms..
