I have have both colours of these too, but still in bud here
No accounting for children’s taste buds 😂Although I think I’d rather jam than ketchup 🤢 can’t stand it!

@solly1961 I’m not convinced it’s Alan Fradd. Usually the blotches are darker. Try cyprius or ladanifera.
@solly1961 or even lusitanicus decumbens. More low growing
