Looks like some kind of gymnocalycium. We will need flowers to narrow it down further.

Help identify this spiny boi! I can upload better pictures if needed. I'm thinking Gymnocalycium but I'm not sure. @Yollymac @cactusnut @kimberleyrolfe @Muzz67 @natii @littlemorningglory @KelsiBriana #plantid #plantid-cactus #succulentsunday

Yeah, the sun was going down, sorry about that. Those are pups, no blooms. And I posted a pic of the side view.

@littlemorningglory What do you think about Lobivia? It is somehow related to Echinopsis in a way I don't quite understand, but I wanted your opinion. Could you opine?

@SpicyCactus Yeah, it could be Lobivia, maybe Lobivia Arachnacantha? It doesn't seem to have the same amount of spines though... I'll look into it more.

@littlemorningglory That was my first thought, but the spines. And the colors. I've been able to find nothing like it. I'm beginning to think maybe I have something unique. Perhaps I'll have to wait for a flower, but who has the time?
