@PlantDoctor I got this while out shopping today. They had a few to choose from. Is this 1 OK?

I've used it before & seems to be ok.

Thanks @deepblu24 . bit unsure how much to give my strawberry baskets. It says 1 cap to 4.5ltrs but how much do i give to each basket as i don't want to drown them. Would just pouring a bit undiluted straight into the compost be a bad idea?

You should dilute it. There is such a thing as too much fertiliser and plants can be damaged. A typical watering can is 4.5- 5 litres in volume so put the fertiliser in first and add water to mix it properly and then water with the solution.

How much to water is a bit tricky to say but if your baskets are well-draining, it won't be an issue. It is getting warmer now and you may need to water daily, anyway. The compost should feel damp to touch and a little bit of compost to stick in your fingers, but not wet and definitely no standing water seen.

@AnnikasGarden thanks for that. I'm a bit more reassured now and they seem to be thriving so far. I think the compost may be a little wet but i can't see how i can drain it anymore. Hopefully the nice sunshine continues and helps then along further 😁

You could fill your laundry tub with water and add the fertiliser, in correct ratio, then soak all you potted plants in it. Wait till air bubbles finish rising before removing. Fine to use same water for as many pots as you've got.

Much better to apply weak solution of liquid fertiliser each week than double strength every fortnight. Weakly, weekly is the motto. 👍

#advice @tiggrx @PlantDoctor @GREENFINGERSLTD

It's just the time of year. It will soon start growing and look great but encourage it by feeding fortnightly with something like Miracle Gro.

@PlantDoctor thanks for the advice i will grab some tomorrow. Can i use the same feed for my strawberries or will i have to buy separate feed?

You can use that for everything. It's a good balanced feed with both major and minor nutrients in the mixture.

@PlantDoctor thanks for the tip. I'll grab some this weekend.

@PlantDoctor spot on.
