Help me identify this plant does anyone know what this is? #pubcrawl
Looks like it might be a Spring Squill or Scilla verna? Good find if it is!
Found a distribution map online, whereabouts are you?
I think it's Turkish Squill (Scilla bithynica).
Could be either of them I guess, really pretty!
@tash74 Scilla verna has fewer flowers per head than this and is typical of short clifftop turf. @Squares was this at Myddleton House? There is plenty of Scilla bithynica there.
@tiggrx yes it was at Myddelton, bulbs have made their way into the woods at Forty Hall over the years :)
