Gorgeous color! These are what they glue onto cacti to fool cactus noobs, right? Are they that stiff and bristly when they're fresh and live, or do they just get that way when dried?

@beatnikcrab Yes! These are the flowers they glue on to the cacti. They make great potpourri too. They are stiff and bristley as they grow and so incredibly bright in color. I love these guys.

I wouldn't be able to stop touching them! I loved touching my gomphrena flowers while I had them. I seem to recall my grandma growing these when I was a kid, so I wonder if they can actually survive here. 🤔 I'm suddenly feeling nostalgic and inspired to try growing some myself. 😂
